Terribly sorry for the delay on this one, but for those of you who purchased Dossier 007: Legacy of the Batutut – head over to your ‘My Account‘ page and re-download the product for an additional six images!
So I am going to get back to Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion next week, but right now I am working on building Clara’s bedroom. It won’t be part of CR4, but it is something I’ve wanted to build for a long time and am enjoying putting it together. I already have an idea for a nice pinup render or two in the room that I will share with you good folks to tide you over as I get back on track with CR4.
If you’re wondering what took so long, let me just say that real life stuff has been slowing me down and distracting me from getting any real work done. But the biggest issue was my render PC. You may recall that I was having issues with it ever since I replaced the motherboard. It was doing this weird thing where I could only power cycle it on by using the power button of the PC case and the power switch of the actual power supply in this odd jury rigged method of hot starting the PC. That ‘solution’ got me through to the end of Dossier 007, at which point I took the PC in for repair.
Hey everyone, just wanted to drop you a quick update now that SDCC is over and my friends have all left town. Dossier 006: Legacy of the Batutut will be getting an expansion of several images to further improve on the narrative flow of the original. It will be FREE to everyone who purchased Dossier 006: Legacy of the Batutut; all you will need to do is to redownload the product from your ‘My Account’ page. This small expansion will be coming some time next week.
I wasn’t completely satisfied with the set, and Xipomus heard me bitch about it endlessly. It wasn’t for lack of trying. Several people left comments about how they thought the set felt ‘rushed’ or ‘truncated’, which isn’t entirely true. I worked as hard on this set as I do on any of my sets, but a series of firsts made this particular set very hard to produce. First, there was the use of FOUR characters, which is just a lot of polygons to have in the scene. This slows down scene setup and posing pretty drastically.
