So this set, only featured in the first eight to twelve renders, took nearly two weeks to create. I always end up getting overzealous when set building as it is my favorite part of the process, and this one was incredibly enjoyable. Unfortunately, it put me WAY behind, but hey… that’s not a surprise, now is it? In addition to this promo, I had a finished render I wanted to share as well, but the image was on my render PC sitting in Octane’s preview window, waiting to be saved, when suddenly the power went out. It was down for only few seconds, but all of my PCs shut off, so that render is lost to San Diego Gas and Electric‘s total failure as a utility company. I’m terribly sorry this took until the end of the week to get posted up, but setting these three characters up turned out to be very difficult. The new female character (who is clearly based on Cortana from the “Halo” video game franchise) took several days to texture and set up materials for. In other news, Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion is nearing completion! Well, at least part one is. But guys, I gotta be honest… I’m considering charging for part two. Part one ends in a cliff-hanger, and is already 175 pages long (composed of over 500 image elements) with two separate sex scenes involving four different characters. Part two will also have two sex scenes with two different characters. It won’t be as long as part one (maybe 50-75 pages), but is certainly long enough and packed with enough sex to warrant a price tag. It would be about as long as a dossier but with even more sex (again… TWO sex scenes). Part one will be the $15.00 USD price tag you’re used to for the full comic releases, but part two will only be $10.00 USD, with a ‘bundle’ released at a later date for a price tag of $20.00 USD. It might seem high, but keep in mind this dwarfs any work I’ve ever done. And, if you’ve been reading my previous blog posts, you know that the comics are going to get considerably shorter… more around the size of part two of this upcoming release… so getting part two for $10.00 USD is a steal since comics will remain $15.00 USD despite getting shorter. If you are wondering how the comics, which will only be the average length of a dossier can warrant a $5.00 higher price tag, don’t forget the bonus wallpapers, bios, 3D turntables, animations, sound effects, and score. Bottom line is that I think these decisions are reasonable from a business standpoint, but I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on the matter in a comment below.

Animations & Commissions
Due to the busy schedule of Team Nok’Tus and their limited availability until January 2016, we have had to look elsewhere for the outsourcing of the Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion animation. We are pleased to announce that we are working with the talented Busty Elves in Peril artist/animator Chimera46! Those of you not new to erotic CG have likely seen his body of work at Renderotica and deviantART. He has been at this a LONG time. Fans of his will recognize his Tripping the Rift animations of Six, his Twi’leks from Star Wars, and the aforementioned Busty Elves in Peril. If you’re unfamiliar with his work, definitely check out one (or both) of the links above to see his animations in action!
Chimera46 and I hashed out the details of our collaboration early last week and he got right to work. In fact, he finished one of the animation setups in only a few days and as of this moment it has already finished rendering! So we are very happy to have him on board to help us make a top-tier product for you all to enjoy. We will be parsing out delivery of the frames to be animated on a weekly basis so that we have time to render the previous animation setup in Octane, make it DCV-ready, and test it in the player before moving on to the next.
