We are, for the fourth or fifth time now, back underway on Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion – Part II. I am putting all of my effort into finishing it this time out. There are many, many pages of the script left to render, and we have barely started on sound effects. None of the animation is done, either. So we still have a monumental undertaking ahead of us, but I have committed myself to late nights and long weeks in order to get this thing finished and released so I can move onto more projects in the Dark Rift universe (which is really where my passion is these days).
I will release what I can in the way of teasers. I’ll likely reveal at least one of the bundled wallpapers (in a smaller format) like I did for the previous release, but there won’t be much else. So I may end up just rendering random stuff or doing smaller commissions here and there just to keep you all engaged with new content. The comics can be a slog, so please bear with me. These things are a lot of work and, as you all know, CR4 is/was the most ridiculously ambitious project we’ve done.

RANDOM OFF-TOPIC: Anyone playing the ‘early access’ PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds? I’ve been squadding up with Xipomus and some other friends, and just going it solo here and there too. That game is fucking incredibly addictive. Best game solo was three kills, and best rank was 11th place so far. I’m really not too good at the game, but I can’t stop playing it!
Well, I am officially back to work on Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion. Thank you everyone for your patience over this year as I pumped out what felt like a dozen dossiers. I am extremely excited to be returning to this comic and even more eager to see it finished (as I imagine many of you are as well). I’ve enjoyed getting back into Barca’s mindset by re-reading the script and using his insanity and rage to pose him in ways that makes his madness and fury shine through in the imagery. I think you’re going to love to hate this nutjob.
I know you are curious about a release date, but the last three or four dossiers should be a pretty solid indicator that release dates are no longer something I offer up. So I am going to work on this hard, at a very steady clip, adhering to my calendar, and hoping to get it out as soon as humanly possible. Keep in mind, the time frame for the comics is always longer as we have sound effects, audio score, animation, and other additional work to do. The comic itself is much more difficult to code due to the image overlay technology used to show action in the frames. All this results in a longer production schedule, so please be patient.
