Well, I had promised more concept art, but instead I’m just offering up the first frame of the comic to give you a look at the characters and the set. It’s what they call the ‘establishing shot’ in screenwriting and filmmaking. Anyway, Clara will be facing off against her sensei Ryujin as her last trial before earning her black belt. Fighting by her side will be one of Ryujin’s other promising students, a young man named Yoshi. In this intense battle, there is going to be some really funny moments as Ryujin teaches both Clara and Yoshi lessons in humility, patience… and smiling.
The reason I didn’t have time for concept art is because this entire set I decided to use dynamic clothing, which requires running a cloth simulation for every article of clothing.
