A quick update – CR 1 HD

Hey folks,

Sorry about the lack of news. But i’ve been have some issues with getting the old scenes over to the new render engine. Textures bugged. Camera’s not able to be used. Lighting totally different, ect , ect.
And with that trying to keep the look and feel of the comic about the same.

After 2 weeks of getting stuck in a part of the comic, i finally figured out a way to move forward.
So now i can get back to the posing and try to get a camera to look about the same.
And then build the comic off course.

I hope to have some days off in the next week to get at least 10 renders done.

Will keep you posted on the progress and will update the slider when there is significant progress.

Sorry about the lack of response. What time i have i’ve been trying to get the website compatible with the new PCI DDS rules for creditcard transfers. It seems that I’ll have to transfer the website again. We are testing the new server now. When that’s ok, i’ll start to transfer over.

Will keep you posted.

It was a long time in development. A lot of issues with the different Octane version

We did dossiers to give you some images, but we always wanted to complete this comic.
It took a lot of long days but it’s here.

What Can I Give You?

Brace yourself, as this post is likely going to ruffle a lot of tailfeathers…

I’ve done the math. My calendar is slated and every day penciled in, but there is literally no way I can possibly expect to complete Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion by Christmas, which was my sole intention. Even if I work every single day from now until it is finished, it would be impossible to complete, due in large part to the time required to render out the animated sex sequences (they take a few days to over a week per animation) and the sheer amount of renders that compose one page of the comic, using our DCV image overlay technology.

So this puts me in a bind. The holidays are fast approaching, and time off around the holidays is something I am looking forward to, especially because my girlfriend who has been living with me for over a year is wanting to meet my family. So we will travel back to my neck of the woods in Pennsylvania and see how that goes. It’s a big step.

I’m really not trying to bore you with personal stuff, but the reason I’m mentioning this is because I do want to get something out before the holiday (ideally something I can release mid-December) that will help me offset the cost of plane tickets and holiday expenses. You’ve probably noticed I’ve had a release in December for the last two years. This is simple planning for the holidays, and this year I want to do the same. With one of the tightest product schedules I’ve held myself to, yet one of the most grueling multi-set productions for any dossier, this was a real “sink or swim” moment for me and Xipomus. I haven’t had a day off in over three weeks. Yesterday I worked 13 and a half hours to finish the remaining frames. But I’m happy to say we rose to the occasion, despite numerous ridiculous setbacks (Poser kept reparenting scene objects when I’d change from the auxiliary to the main camera! I mean what in the actual fuck? Does that make ANY sense whatsoever?). Yes, this was an intense amount of work, but I’m proud of the set… and I’m in need of a serious break.

So enjoy the return of fan favorite Ember Riley and let me know what you think of the set. I like to try different things, so I’m hoping this will be something that interests you.
