Since part of the inspiration for the Freehope series was the hentai Bible Black, Xipomus proposed a commission idea that I just had to do. It was also my first time using volumetric lighting in Octane, and I can say the result is not worth the render time and the ‘dirtiness’ of the completed render. I think I’ll stick to painting in the effect in the future as I’ve always done, but it was a fun experiment nonetheless. But anyway, Xip gave me a reference photo of one of the Bible Black characters in a robe holding a knife, with sinister under lighting and said he wanted something like that, and Kendra doing another girl with a strap-on dildo. So that’s what this little commission is all about. He suggested the other female be a readhead, since many have mentioned that my character collection is lacking a redhead (with the exception of Leslie… why does everyone forget about her?). So I’m preemptively attaching a render of her too because I know you guys are just gonna ask for one if I don’t include it! Continue reading “Kendra’s Dark Side”

Look Who I Found!
Currently working on a short commission for Epoch Art‘s resident man-in-charge Xipomus, featuring the oldest character in the our catalog, Kendra Blake of Freehope! That commission will be finished and posted soon, but before I even started on it I decided to actually sit down and get poor Kendra up to speed with my current cast of characters in terms of visual fidelity. But, in the process, I managed to create a skin shader that absolutely blew me away! I made versions of it to satisfy sweaty and standard skin conditions, and think this may be my new skin shader for ALL of my characters. It uses subsurface scattering (like all of my previous skins do), but contains a much more subtle skin specularity that adds hugely to a realistic skin look under all lighting conditions. Take a close look at her skin’s reflectivity in certain spots and you’ll see what I mean. Continue reading “Look Who I Found!”
As You Like It
Hey everyone, sorry for the absence. It was my girlfriend’s birthday so we were in Disneyland/California Adventure for a few days. Also had to do the Renderotica and Affect3D conversions of Dossier 009: Into Ruin and had some personal issues to deal with, but things are slowly getting back on track. Thank you all for your patience and continued comments and discussion. I loved keeping up with what you guys were posting in the last thread while I was on vacation.
Speaking of which, a few of you mentioned it would be wise to get a poll up right away for what everyone would like to see in the next dossier while I work on the current public commission projects, so as to minimize downtime. I think that is a great idea, but honestly I’ve been so incredibly distracted with my personal issues that I have no ideas for the next dossier. So while I do plan to open up a poll, I’d first love to hear your feedback (once again) for the character(s) you’d like to see most, the scenarios, the stories, etc. Drop a comment and let me know what you’d like to see most, and I’ll compile a list like we did the last dossier poll. Feel free to post more than one idea as well if you like. Xipomus and I will take all suggestions and make a poll with the data for you all to vote on. Continue reading “As You Like It”
More Kendra on the Beach!
Are the winter doldrums getting you down? Well, let’s get you all warmed up, shall we?
Got a few brand new images of Kendra on the beach set from Dossier 002: Wish You Were Here. This mini-set was commissioned by your favorite (and only) site moderator Xipomus. So be sure to drop him a “thanks” in the comments! The concept was that Chad had taken several other photographs of Kendra on the beach, similar to the promotional images for Wish You Were Here that we posted last year. These images, however, were a bit too risque for Chad to post publicly. So think of these as ‘leaked’ private images from Chad’s collection, if you will.
On to other news. Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion Part II is on hiatus. We’ve started pre-production on Dossier 009: Into Ruin. It is going to feature a character from the comic fiction of Dark Rift, including a new character that will be reminiscent of a popular video game character. I personally am very excited for the backstory this particular dossier will provide, and I hope you all will appreciate the insight into the character as well. More news (including a release date) and some promo art coming next week, so standby for all of that. Today is Thursday, so the weekend is almost here! Talk to you again soon.
