Congratulations, you’ve passed the official Epoch Art Eye Examination… which 9 out of 10 doctors agree is utterly fucking useless in diagnosing eye problems.
However, it does help you help me fix my problem… my hardware problem, that is (OMFG, brilliant segue, Epoch)!
So we set up this little plugin to help track the progress towards my goal of $1,550 USD to upgrade my hardware on my render rig so I can move forward with Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion entirely in Octane. After some long discussion with my new friend/hardware expert/drinker of the beers gazukull, we have come up with a killer rig that will be dual 4 GB GPUs and will outperform any machine I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately, as I had initially predicted, I will in fact need to get a new CPU. The LGA 1156 socket from Intel has been discontinued, so finding an 1156 socket motherboard that has dual PCI-E x16 slots for the two GPUs has been impossible, since none are being manufactured anymore.
