The Perils of PCD (and other nonsense)

San Diego Convention Center - The Infamous Hall HWell guys, San Diego Comic Con 2017 is in the books, having wrapped up Sunday of this week. I had a blast and even though I’m starting to feel diminishing returns with what feels like a lot of repetition in panels, guest, events, and even exclusive toys, it still was a great con. This was my first year getting into Hall H for both Friday and Saturday panels, so I saw TONS of stuff, including that sick Avengers: Infinity Wars trailer that is still on lock down (I think someone leaked it with a camera phone online, but I’m sure they’ve been slapped with a cease and desist already). Other panels I saw were first looks at D.C.’s Aquaman and Justice League, and Marvel’s Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok. Continue reading “The Perils of PCD (and other nonsense)”

Smorgasbord

July Commission SmorgasbordHey everyone, I’m here to drop one last post before the insanity of San Diego Comic Con 2017 begins this week, and what a post it is! Today I give you what can only be described as a ‘commission smorgasbord’. These images were all commissioned by everyone’s favorite site admin Xipomus (He’s not your favorite?! Well why the hell not?!!) and feature a few of the Epoch Art heroines doing stuff… and thangs.

In other news, today and a bit of tomorrow I will working to get the second animation for CR4 set up so it can render over the week I’m away from work while SDCC corrupts my soul. So when I get back to work next week and compile the new animation for the DCV, we’ll be that much closer to release! I appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to work on getting Clara Ravens Ep. 4 completed, little by little. It WILL be finished this year, guaranteed. That’s all I’m offering in terms of a release date at the moment but I promise that, as soon as the end is in sight, I’ll give a better estimate. Continue reading “Smorgasbord”

Crashing the Set

Ember Posing 07Hey guys, as promised here is the commissioned set I mentioned in the previous post’s comments. Chris3DX is once again to blame for this awesomeness. Here we have Ember crashing the production set of Dossier 014: The Deserted to have a go at giving our giant alien friend Chuck some good old fashioned titty sex! She also decided to stick around after to do a few sexy pinup shots for our staff photographer Doug (Editor’s note: Doug is currently hospitalized with the worst case of blue balls you’ve ever seen and isn’t expected to make a recovery unless he buys the new dossier and faps. Don’t be a Doug).

As of today we are back in production on Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion – Part II. This is gonna be a huge push to get this thing wrapped. I’m talking late nights, little to no sleep, mainlining coffee and energy drinks, and ritual gential mutilation (well, maybe not that last part). Oh, and please stop back tomorrow for the cover art reveal! Continue reading “Crashing the Set”

The Ripcord Date

Clara Ravens Ep. 4: Colombina's Illusion - Page 117Happy Star Wars Day to you all!

As SDCC steadily approaches (July 8th – July 12) and my income just as steadily wanes, I find myself once again having to add the dreaded “ripcord date” to my project calendar. I was paid out from my other markets for my April sales and things are not looking so great financially. I will find myself in dire straights by the beginning of June, and though my calendar indicates a completion date for Clara Ravens Episode 4: Colombina’s Illusion near and around mid-June, there is absolutely no certainty. The difference between the concrete release dates of image sets and the more elusive dates of comics is that I never know how many pages a comic will be, nor can I estimate just how long setting up an animation will take (could be several hours or several days based on complexity) or render (typically takes days). With image sets, I know in advance how many frames it will be, how long it Continue reading “The Ripcord Date”
