Ghost in the ShellHere you go guys, have a look at Ember. Yeah, sucks don’t it? This is the bullshit I’ve been dealing with since I got back to work this week. Ever since I had my PC taken in for repairs, the constant BSODs I was having died down… for a time. All the guys did was remove a bad DIMM they said they found with Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool. I felt insulted, considering I had run memtest86+ and hadn’t found shit. So there it went… 90 of my dollars for something I could have diagnosed myself in a matter of minutes.

It wasn’t long thereafter that the PC started having BSODs again. WhoCrashed would analyze the dump files and report no specific software driver and had no advice, considering the kernels where the failure was were seemingly everywhere and the BSOD reasons themselves were constantly varied. But I plodded along, because a BSOD every so often sucks (especially when you haven’t saved in a bit and lost hours of work), but it’s not the end of the world, especially if you have tried everything and have no idea what the actual problem is.
